Class of 2007 Inductees
Congratulations Wade! Wade has transferred
to Pensacola, Florida for additional training.

Congratulations goes out to my son, Airman Recruit Wade Camarillo, for a job well done, as he moves forward into military life in the United States Navy. Wade recently graduated from the Naval Service Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois and has transferred to Pensacola, Florida for additional training. Wade’s goal is to earn a commission on the aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan.

Bremerton, WA, January 2008.

The newest recruits were commended for their dedication to the Department of the Navy and its core values of Honor, Courage and Commitment. For more than 200 years, members of the Naval Service have stood ready to protect our Nation and our freedom with the trust and leadership upon which our strength as a country is based and victory achieved.

The drums and bugles of the Recruit Drill Band, National Anthem, Navy Hymn and Pledge of Allegiance reminded us of the tens of thousands of enlisted men and women who set prior examples and inspired these new recruits to dawn their uniforms and salute their country’s flag with personal pride and dedication.

As parents we strive to give our children every opportunity to find their niche in life that will allow them to become responsible adults and at the same time give them the courage to pursue and celebrate their personal purpose and passion. The Navy has provided Wade that opportunity. Join with me in honoring these recruits and the enlisted men and women of the combined armed forces for their dedication to defend our rights and provide us the opportunity to live in a country that allows each of us the freedom to dream and pursue our goals.

Department of the Navy Core Values Charter

Honor: I am accountable for my professional and personal behavior. I will be mindful of the privilege I have to serve my fellow Americans.

Courage: Courage is the value that gives me the moral and mental strength to do what is right, with confidence and resolution, even in the face of temptation or adversity.

Commitment: The day to day duty of every man and woman in the Department of the Navy is to join together as a team to improve the quality of our work, our people and ourselves.
